What small business IT support actually is — in plain English
In most small businesses, the owner is the IT department. You set up the email years ago, you reset the passwords, you google the printer error, and when a laptop dies two days before a deadline, that's your evening gone. None of it is your job — it's just nobody else's either.
IT support means handing that role to someone whose job it actually is. Your email and Microsoft 365 licences managed properly, staff set up on their first day and closed off on their last, a number to ring when something breaks, and machines that arrive ready to work instead of half set up. The industry calls this managed IT — a provider on a monthly retainer instead of a stranger you ring in a crisis.
Most managed IT is built and priced for organisations with dozens of staff, servers and compliance requirements. Our lane is the other end: proper IT support scoped to how small businesses actually work, from the same provider that already looks after the rest of your online presence.
What we look after
No vague “solutions”. This is what the service covers, in writing:
| Covered | What we do |
|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 & business email | Mailboxes set up on your own domain, new staff added and departing staff closed off properly, passwords reset, and the security records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) that keep your email out of junk folders. If Microsoft 365 is new to you: it's the business version of Outlook, Word and Excel, licensed per person. |
| Computers & laptops | New machines supplied, set up and handed over ready to work — email signed in, files moved across, printer connected. We quote the hardware up front and you approve it before anything is ordered. |
| Remote support when something breaks | You click a link, we see your screen, and the problem gets fixed while you watch — no waiting for someone to drive out. Most small-business IT problems are solved this way in one sitting. |
| Security basics done properly | Two-step sign-in (MFA) on your email and important accounts, sensible password practice, and straight answers about what's worth worrying about at your size — without selling you enterprise tools you don't need. |
| Software & vendor wrangling | The calls you don't want to make — your internet provider, the printer company, the software subscription that keeps billing you. We speak their language so you don't have to. |
| The online side, same provider | Website, domain, Google presence and lead capture — the things a traditional IT company doesn't touch. With us it's one provider and one login for the lot. |
How the pricing works
IT support is priced per user, per month — one flat amount for each person in the business, the way managed IT is priced across the industry. Your software licences (like Microsoft 365) are itemised separately at their own per-user price, so the bill reads exactly like the business runs: people, not mystery line items.
One-off jobs — a new starter's laptop, an office move, a cleanup of years of shared-drive chaos — are quoted as fixed jobs before we start, through the same client portal you approve everything else in.
We quote your exact number after a short call about headcount and what you're running — because publishing one number for every business would mean padding it. Month-to-month, cancel any time.
Who this is for — and who it isn't
A good fit if
- Adelaide small businesses with roughly 1–20 staff
- Businesses with no IT person — the owner is currently the IT person
- MP Launch website or Care clients who want the whole digital side under one roof
- Teams already on Microsoft 365 that just need it looked after properly
Not the right fit if
- Large operations with on-site servers, compliance audits or 50+ staff — you need a bigger managed IT provider, and we'll happily point you to one
- You need guaranteed 24/7 coverage — our support runs business hours
- One-off cheap fixes with no ongoing relationship — a local computer shop will serve you better
The IT half of your digital department
Most businesses end up with a web person, an email person, a computer shop and a marketing agency — four providers who've never spoken to each other, each blaming the next when something breaks. MP Launch runs the lot as one department: website, Google presence, business email, IT support, ads and social media — with one person to ring and one client login where your quotes, services and enquiries live.

What clients say about their launch.
Real 5-star Google reviews from Australian businesses we've put online.
We brought MP Launch in to get us found on Google and it's made a real difference. Peter took the time to understand the business, moved everything over smoothly with no downtime, and keeps us updated every month on how we're tracking. Genuinely feels like they care about the results, not just getting paid. Really happy we made the switch.
David Hills

From the very beginning, Peter was professional, responsive and genuinely invested in bringing my vision to life. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered a website that looks fantastic, is easy to navigate and perfectly represents my business… I highly recommend MP Launch to anyone looking for a professional, high-quality website and outstanding customer service.

Frequently asked questions
What does IT support cost for a small business in Adelaide?
Most IT support in Australia is priced per user per month — one flat amount for each staff member, covering their email, computer and day-to-day help. That's how we price too: a simple per-user monthly amount quoted up front for your exact headcount, with software licences (like Microsoft 365) itemised separately so you can see exactly what each part costs. One-off jobs are quoted before we start. No lock-in contract.
What is Microsoft 365, and do I need it?
Microsoft 365 is the business version of the tools you already know — Outlook email on your own domain, Word, Excel and Teams — licensed per person per month. If you run business email, you're very likely already paying for it or something like it. We set it up, license it and support it, so one provider owns the whole thing.
How does remote support actually work?
You ring or email, we send you a link, you click it, and we can see your screen and fix the problem while you watch. Nothing is installed permanently and you can end the session at any time. For jobs that genuinely need hands on the hardware — a new machine, a dead one — we arrange it.
Can you supply laptops and computers?
Yes. We quote the machine and the setup up front, you approve it, and it arrives ready to work — signed in, files across, email flowing. We supply through Australian business distributors, and you own the hardware outright.
Do I need an MP Launch website to use IT support?
No. IT support stands on its own — plenty of businesses come to us for the email and computers first. If we do run your website as well, everything lives under one provider and one client login, which is the whole point of a digital department.
What if my business is too big for you?
We'll tell you, straight up. If you've got servers, compliance requirements or dozens of staff, you'll be better served by a larger managed IT provider — and we'll point you toward one rather than stretch past what we can deliver well. We'd rather keep you as a referral than lose you as an oversold client.
How fast do you respond?
We work business hours and aim to respond within four business hours. You deal directly with the person doing the work — there's no ticket queue with three tiers between you and an answer.
Want your IT looked after by someone who answers?
Tell us how many people are in the business and what's driving you mad, and Peter will call you back with a straight answer — or skip the form entirely:
